Banner was trusted to manage the abatement phase, ensuring the property was safely cleared of hazardous materials before redevelopment began.
Multi-Phase Asbestos Removal: Scope of Work
The work included:
- Removal and disposal of approximately:
- 2,650 square feet of 9×9 asbestos floor tile and mastic
- 200 linear feet of friable duct insulation (TSI)
- 100 linear feet of air cell pipe insulation
- 100 linear feet of non-friable exterior caulking
- 4,000 square feet of non-friable asphaltic roofing material
- Full containment procedures with HEPA filtration and decontamination
- Proper packaging, labeling, manifesting, and disposal of all asbestos waste
- Coordination of third-party clearance testing as required by MassDEP and DLS regulations
Each phase was carefully managed to minimize disruption and ensure a safe, clean transition for future development.
