42 unit vents with asbestos-containing transite panels and insulation
250 linear feet of asbestos pipe insulation
Removal of non-asbestos flooring, counters, and shelving at vent locations

Each removal step required precision, appropriate containment protocols, and constant air quality control to protect workers and the school’s future occupants.

In accordance with Massachusetts regulations, Banner:

Submitted a 10-day notification to the MA DEP
Established HEPA-filtered negative pressure containment zones
Used wet methods and engineering controls to prevent fiber release
Packaged, labeled, transported, and disposed of all asbestos waste at certified facilities
Coordinated manifesting and recordkeeping in full regulatory compliance
