We removed approximately 700 square feet of asbestos-containing tile from all ten-unit kitchens. The project also required removing ten kitchen sinks with asbestos-containing undercoating and 500 square feet of asbestos-containing adhesive and tile from stair treads and risers.
Ensuring Thorough Asbestos Removal in Living Spaces
In addition to the kitchens, our team addressed the bathrooms and other areas by removing around 5,000 square feet of asbestos-containing joint compound and associated gypsum board from the walls and ceilings. This process involved using a negative air HEPA-filtered workspace and a three-stage decontamination unit to ensure all asbestos particles were safely contained and eliminated.
Our experts also tackled 1,600 square feet of presumed asbestos-containing BUR material, including asphaltic flashing and penetration materials. Utilizing advanced engineering controls, we ensured these high-risk materials were handled and disposed of correctly.
