Safety and compliance are foundational to everything we do at Banner Environmental—and Kenny Arsenault, our EHS & Compliance Manager, plays a critical role in upholding those standards on every project. Through regular site visits and containment inspections, Kenny helps ensure that work is performed safely, correctly, and in full compliance with EPA, OSHA, and state regulations, protecting our crews, our clients, and the communities we serve.
Kenny’s responsibilities span both the field and the planning stages of a project. He conducts asbestos surveys for residential and commercial properties, collaborates closely with supervisors to confirm that abatement scopes are executed properly, and coordinates the delivery of safety equipment and PPE to job sites. He also supports permitting, regulatory notifications, and submittal documentation—helping ensure projects are prepared thoroughly before work begins and remain compliant through completion. His attention to detail and proactive approach help keep projects moving forward without compromising safety.
What Kenny values most about working at Banner Environmental is the team culture. “Everyone is willing to help one another and pitch in to get the job done safely and effectively,” he says. That collaborative mindset is something Kenny has long admired in the industry, influenced early in his career by Allan Mercier, former Operations Manager at another environmental company, who helped shape his approach to safety, leadership, and professionalism. When learning Banner’s internal systems and software, Kenny leaned on estimators and project coordinators to better understand how a project flows from start to finish—an experience that reinforced the teamwork he values most.
Kenny’s commitment to safety is backed by professional achievement, including earning his ASP (Associate Safety Professional) certification, a milestone he’s especially proud of. Outside of work, he enjoys skiing, disc golf, riding his motorcycle, and playing video games—and recently discovered a new favorite food: birria tacos. Looking ahead, Kenny’s bucket list includes skydiving and traveling to ski throughout Europe.
